177 W. Hill St. - Wabash, IN
The Dr. Ford Home is a restored 19th century physician's home and surgery center.
The Dr. James Ford Historic Home invites you to step into the daily lives, personalities, and routines of the Ford family in the years before, during, and just after the Civil War.
Period décor and furnishings throughout the home offer a vivid glimpse into life in the mid-1800s, from the spaces where patients were treated to the rooms where the family gathered and lived. The property also includes the stone barn, home to Dr. Ford’s faithful steed, Barney, along with surrounding grounds that reflect the character and setting of the time.
