We are incredibly grateful to present this summary of another successful year.
For those who are close to us, a message of “growth” is not a new one. However each and every year we continue to grow, we’re reminded of how fortunate we are. Fortunate to have an impact on so many; fortunate to have a region that warmly embraces the arts; and fortunate for you, our supporters, who make it all possible.
2022 saw growth in our Arts In Education program, which now serves 83 schools in 14 counties. The number of live performances presented grew to an all-time high of 129 across Honeywell and 11 partner venues in Indiana and Ohio. And the Honeywell Arts Academy continues to grow and reach new audiences.
We hope these highlights emphasize the impact you have on so many people. We appreciate you taking the time to review this report, and as always, we truly appreciate your support!

The arts have a proven, substantial impact during formative years by improving academic performance, motor skills, confidence, creativity, focus, and collaboration.
Honeywell Arts In Education is a collection of programs created for educators to reap these developmental benefits in the classroom. Programs are offered at little or no cost to the schools, allowing all students to participate regardless of socioeconomic situations.
The program features initiatives like Visual Thinking Strategies, a nationally-recognized program that uses visual images and facilitated discussion to practice the art of drawing inferences and supporting them with evidence. VTS strengthens the skills of critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and writing.
Other Arts In Education offerings include student art exhibits, curriculum-based theater performances, and an accredited media arts program for high school students.

ACADEMY
Honeywell Arts Academy hosted three full-scholarship institutes for emerging musicians, led by Artistic Director Ranaan Meyer of the GRAMMY-winning string trio Time For Three and world-renowned faculty. Each week-long institute took place at Eagles Theatre and concluded with a live performance featuring participants and faculty.
Honeywell Arts Academy attracts global talent and has hosted scholars from Canada, Mexico, China, Finland, Romania, the UK, and the USA.
Arts Academy donors are located in 12 states including Texas and California, the east coast, and into Canada.

Each year, hundreds of guests make the choice to "host it at Honeywell." These business and private events take place at our venues, with our expert event planners and professional catering staff going above and beyond to make each event a success.
THE COOK CUP
The Honeywell Foundation's transformation of the historic Eagles Theatre was awarded the Indiana Landmarks’ 2022 Cook Cup for Outstanding Restoration.
Built in 1906, the Eagles Theatre served as Wabash's only theater for decades. By the time The Honeywell Foundation acquired it in 2010, the building had suffered from years of deferred maintenance.
The Honeywell team collaborated with community leaders on a vision to give the theater new life, kicking off work in 2017 to repurpose the landmark as a center for performing arts, movies, and events.
The multi-year, $16 million rehabilitation was completed in 2020 and now serves as a primary venue for Honeywell arts, education, and entertainment offerings.

Honeywell board and executive leadership teams are committed to achieving a balanced budget and ensuring Honeywell’s long-term financial growth. The economic downturn due to the pandemic in 2020 prompted a new outlook on that commitment and the organization as a whole. During that time, strategic decisions were made to broaden the scope of Honeywell programming initiatives, in order to increase revenue growth.
As a result, the budget has more than doubled since 2015! This financial success has led to the growth you see in this report: further reach for live entertainment, more opportunities for student art opportunities, and a larger economic impact on the region.
Our continued fiscal responsibility, combined with your generous support, will lead to even more growth and play a vital role in fulfilling our mission of providing arts, education, and entertainment for all.
